Work Central City in Motion (CCIM)

Do you have an interest in Portland’s transportation system in Portland’s Central City? Are you a problem-solver, willing to help PBOT evaluate project designs, weigh trade-offs, resolve conflicts, and move forward with implementing projects in a timely manner?  If yes, please apply to serve on Central City in Motion Working Group! 

PBOT is recruiting new members for the Central City in Motion Working Group 

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is currently recruiting applications for six new Central City in Motion (CCIM) Working Group members to serve a two-year term.  Central City in Motion (CCIM) is PBOT’s plan for strategic investments to accommodate more people on Central City streets.  The CCIM Working Group is an 18-member City Advisory Body that meets quarterly (currently virtually) and advises PBOT on project design, user experience, public communications and engagement, and monitoring performance. Representing a broad set of community and business perspectives, the group offers strategic advice to help the PBOT project team implement successful projects as recommended in the Central City in Motion and Rose Lane Project plans.

What we look for To be eligible for the Central City in Motion Working Group, members must live, play, worship, work or do business in the city of Portland.   You have an interest in Portland’s transportation system in the Central City You are a problem-solver, willing to help PBOT evaluate project designs, weigh trade-offs, resolve conflicts, and move forward with implementing projects in a timely manner You bring unique perspectives and can offer input on specific issues and how they might impact specific communities/populations  You have a perspective on physically navigating the community with a disability. You are an advocate for racial equity: you want positive and long-lasting outcomes for racial and ethnic communities who have been left out before. You can bring discussion about racial and ethnic communities who need it the most. You believe in the value of public participation in government process You have an expertise or interest with the design of transportation projects, particularly bike and pedestrian safety improvements, transit priority and freight.  You have the experience, skills, knowledge, or perspective related to: Transportation Policy and Projects Racial JusticeSocial and Economic Justice Youth and/or Elderly Transportation Needs Disability Rights and/or Universal Access Public Health Houseless and/or Social Services  Climate Justice and/or Environmental Resiliency Public engagement and/or communications Data analysis You are available to attend all virtual quarterly meetings and participate in the discussions
