Firewise training for landscapers, arborists and other trades

If you have concerns about wildfire risk in your property and neighborhood, and utilize contractors, landscaping services or an arborist, consider asking them to attend a free symposium on how these trades and others can increase wildfire resiliency!

The Wildfire Home Protection Strategies course is designed for professionals like landscapers, contractors, insurance agents, and real estate agents who want to help their clients reduce wildfire risk and make safer choices.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Local wildfire risk and fire behavior
  • Structure hardening
  • Defensible space
  • Fire-resistant plant selection and placement

The course is led by experts from OSFM, ODF, OSU Extension, and Portland Fire & Rescue.
