Calling Graphic Designers (and Design Students!)

The Southwest Hills Residential League (SWHRL) is looking for a creative graphic designer to help us bring our refreshed logo to life.

We’re a nonprofit neighborhood association serving Portland’s Southwest Hills, focused on community connection, preservation, and clear communication. We’ve been working on updated visual direction for our brand and are now looking for a designer to help translate that vision into a polished, final logo system.

What we’re looking for
We already have visual art direction and concept guidance in place. What we need is a designer who can:

  • Refine the existing logo concept
  • Create clean, professional vector logo files
  • Ensure the logo works across multiple formats and uses

Deliverables will include logo files for:

  • Print: letterhead and official documents
  • Digital: website, Instagram (circular profile logo), Facebook, and email

This is a pro bono opportunity
As a nonprofit, this role is unpaid, but it offers meaningful visibility. Your work will be actively used and showcased across an engaged neighborhood association, making this a strong real-world portfolio piece.

Why work with SWHRL?

  • Your design will be publicly visible across our communications
  • You’ll collaborate with a community-focused organization that values thoughtful design
  • Great opportunity for students or emerging designers looking for real-world experience

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. Email contact@swhrl.org to learn more.
