Apply to the Sheriff’s Office Community Budget Advisory Committee by 12/16

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for individuals to join its Community Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC).

Multnomah County CBACs are made up of volunteers who work alongside county department leaders to review proposed budgets, programs, and services — helping to advocate that public dollars are used in ways that reflect community values and needs.

No budgeting or financial expertise is necessary! Meetings are focused on the bigger picture — understanding the county’s programs and services, discussing challenges and opportunities that departments are considering in their budget process, and providing input on key budget decisions for the next year. Members bring their lived and learned experiences to budget conversations and make recommendations that go directly to department leadership and presented to the Board of County Commissioners.

If you are interested in joining the Sheriff’s CBAC, you can learn more here and apply online here. The only requirement is that you live in Multnomah County and are not currently employed by the county.

NOTE: The CBAC application for the Sheriff’s Office has been extended to December 15.
