All residents that live or do business within the boundaries of of the Southwest Hills Residential League are automatically eligible to participate in and vote on matters pertaining to this neighborhood association.

If you wish to vote at a neighborhood event, all you need to do is to register at the event and provide you address so that we may ascertain that you do reside in or operate a business within the boundaries of SWHRL.

Our meetings are open to the public, whether a member or not. We do reserve the right to vote for SWHRL members only.

SWHRL is a member of Southwest Neighborhoods Inc. a coalition of neighborhood associations covering the Southwest portion of Portland. This has provides us with some benefits, including inclusion in the SW Connections newspaper (in addition to our own newsletter: Viewpoints) and the ability to offer tax deductions for contributions. Contributions to SWHRL are now tax-deductible if endorsed to SWNI, but annotated with SWHRL on the memo line. Your generous contribution will help us pursue projects that benefit the neighborhood.

All residents and business or property owners that reside or own property within the SWHRL borders are eligible for membership. Everyone who meets these requirements can be a member. No dues are required, but contributions are welcome.

Save Our Elms Fund: $185 per tree*

* The “Save our Elms” fund is collected to pay for the innoculation of the 95 elm trees in the Vista Heights area of SWHRL. This contribution covers just the cost of the serums, SWHRL provides the volunteer labor to innoculate these elm trees in the neighborhood. Consider contributing to this worthy fund so that our beautiful tree canopy can be saved from the Dutch Elm Disease. Be sure to indicate what portion of the donation is to be sequestered for the “Save our Elms” fund.

Contributions are voluntary, but over the years they have enabled the League to publish its quarterly VIEWPOINTS newsletter and organize seasonal forums for the community. Please help the League fulfill its purpose by filling out this application and mailing it to:
